TRANSLATION
We praise You, divine Parent of Israel, Source of liberating power and vision, of all that is holy and good. You have shown us love and kindness always; day by day You grant us grace and compassion, deliverance and freedom, prosperity and blessing, life and peace.
By The Grace
Music and Lyrics By Emily Rose Simons
Another night, Another day, Another prayer.
Stretching my arms into empty space
Wishing you were there.
How many months without you to go?
How much more must our children grow,
Before we’re reunited.
Only Gd can know.
The sitcoms and the fairy tales
Make it look easy
Not the trials and tribulations
Other couples shouldn’t know,
But when we’re in the eye of the storm,
Thoughts of you keep me warm,
And faith in all that has been planned
By the grace of Gd,
And all of His wisdom.
By the grace of Gd
And his unceasing love
Giving us the strength
To overcome life’s greatest challenges.
By the grace of Gd,
Our love will endure.
Another day,
Another night,
Another blessing to count.
Holding your hand is a miracle
By the highest amount.
Together there are
Chores to be done.
Together there is Joy and fun.
And everytime there is laughter
A battle has been won.
We know that love isn’t meant to be easy
But it is harder when there’s deployments
And wars to fight.
When I feel I’m about to fall
My love for you makes me stand tall
And holding onto faith with all of my might
By the grace of Gd,
And all of His wisdom.
By the grace of Gd
And his unceasing love
Giving us the strength
To overcome life’s greatest challenges.
By the grace of Gd,
Our love will endure.
Our story is of love and faith
And triumph over trials
And always trying to keep Gd
At the centre of it all.
Our story is of never giving up on each other.
And learning how to fall in love
Over and over again.
By the grace of Gd,
And all of His wisdom.
By the grace of Gd
And his unceasing love
Giving us the strength
To overcome life’s greatest challenges.
By the grace of Gd,
Our love will endure.
And endure,
Giving us the strength
By the grace of Gd
Our love will endure.
Blessing
By Emily Rose Simons
Blessed are You,
Oh, Lord our Gd,
King of the universe,
Who has sanctified us by thy commandments
And commanded us
With six hundred and thirteen laws,
Each one a blessing.
Oh Lord, I want to be a blessing.
Blesses are You,
Oh, Lord, our Gd
Who gave me shame,
So that I would live up to Your will
And not forsake Your name.
Though my thoughts may conspire,
Your blessings are my true desire,
Oh, Lord, I want to be a blessing.
A blessing.
I want to stand under the chupah
And walk seven times around,
My husband to be.
I want children round a Shabbos table
And Kiddush sung by a man who’s stable.
I want the life
You have made out for me.
Blessed are You
Oh, Lord, our Gd,
King of the Universe,
Who Sanctifies me everyday
By thy commandments.
You have made me want to be with women,
Just so I may have a test,
And for that I am blessed.
It’s a painful blessing,
But a powerful blessing,
So that I may find the strength to become
Your blessing.
I want to be Your blessing.
Baruch shome’a Tefila
Oh, Lord, I want to be Your blessing.
