Pickle by Deli Segal

Still living at home in North-West London, she has her Jewish life, dominated by overbearing parents, traditions, and expectations. Then there’s her day-to-day life – the job, the pub, the foreskins.

Written and performed by award-winning Deli Segal (Channel 4Screenwriting 2023), Pickle is a darkly comic uproarious simcha of a one-woman show about being Jewish and secular in the UK today. Expect smoked salmon, guilt and a large dose of self-deprecation.

Following a sold-out tour at Park Theatre, Manchester Jewish Museum and Radlett Centre, Pickle comes to Soho Upstairs for a limited run this July.

Shenanigans ensue when an actress receives her first major role moments before attending a no-technology artists' retreat in this ensemble film piece from the acting and writing collective THE HIVE.

The Golden Age of Content

Hired to care for a doctor's young wife, who's mysteriously confined to a wheelchair, our protagonist finds herself as an unwilling participant to the priorities and rituals of higher powers. It's an opportune moment to explore the treatments of healthcare professionals through a horror lens.

THE GREAT VANISHING tracks the lives of a diverse group of citizens - scientists, teachers, artists, students, YouTubers and more - who wake up one day to learn that the Great Pyramid at Giza has disappeared without a trace. As ancient monuments begin to vanish around the world, human beings must learn to live with a new and terrifying uncertainty. Where are our ancient foundations going, and who among us is going with them?

These Demons R&D

A new play exploring themes of Jewish demonology, written by Rachel Bellman and directed by Jasmine Teo.

Emily Rose Simons was the Sound Designer for the R&D in 2021, supported by The Ugly Duck and Arts Council England.

A play written by Katelynn Kenny, directed

Emily Rose Simons.

Life's hard when you're 11, your only friend is the ghost of your 12-year-old dead aunt, your sister wishes she could be on the other side of her cellphone, your parents make every room frigid, and your sick grandpa wants you to kill him. Presented by The Skeleton Rep and The Tank, WENDELL & PAN is a magical dramedy about loneliness, the strange nature of grief, and that moment in your childhood that reverberates with every step you take into the adult world.

'Emily Auciello's sound design and compositions by Emily Rose Simons capture the joy and danger of Pan's presence, as well as the high and lows of the piece.'
